The elegant Grade I listed structure sits on of the world's finest crescents and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Dining
The grounds are home to beautifully converted coach houses, and there you'll find Dower House restaurant (and also the spa). Executive Chef David Campbell is at the helm of the 3 AA Rosette eatery; choose from the à la carte selection or go for the tasting menu. Locally-sourced ingredients as well as a selection from the Continent are used to create classic plates with a modern twist. Start with ceviche and tartare of mackerel with smoked roe cream, oyster fritter, nasturtium and coal oil, follow with pork tenderloin and crisp shoulder with Yorkshire rhubarb, onion, cornbread and rosemary, and finish with compressed pineapple with set coconut cream and Szechuan. That's just a taster of the type of creations on offer.

The tranquil Spa & Bath House is home to a 12-metre pool with massage jets, a fitness room and treatment areas.
The hotel is a relaxing place to spend some time, but you'll likely want to explore the city too: the thermal baths are just over a 10-minute walk away, and both the Abbey and Roman Baths are about 15 minutes on foot. Food tours can be arranged for you, as can activities such as stand up paddleboarding along the Avon.Parking information

Amazing hotel. Staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay excellent. Restaurant is a must, service and food exceptional. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful surroundings scarred by the insolent behavior of the receptionist. His response to our queries and loud sighs were enough to raise my ire and the temptation to slap him soundly for being the insolent pup he was was great. Perhaps a tutorial in manners, grace and patience towards seniors who also happened to be of color would be beneficial.

I can't comment on the hotel and spa but I can comment on the Afternoon Tea - the best I've ever had! The Bath bun with cinnamon butter (with the little surprise inside) - absolutely delicious- the scone - I've never tasted better. The selection of cakes - sublime - ( if you like coffee you'll LOVE the Tiramachoux) The setting was lovely. The service excellent. If I'm ever in Bath again then I'll be back!

I booked the half day spa package for me and my daughter, which included afternoon tea. From the moment of booking, the staff could not have been more helpful, finding us a last minute cancellation to allow us to book on our chosen day.The afternoon tea was magnificent - the pastries were some of the best Ive ever tasted.My massage was lovely, the spa was very well appointed and the entire day was excellent value.
